Equine Supported Supervision
New Supervision group for Counsellors/Psychotherapists commencing 13th September 2018
11.30am – 1pm
This new supervision group will take place at Red Horse Foundation in Stroud with the aid of our healing herd to help us forge new insights into our work as therapists.
Horses are incredibly perceptive at noticing subtle body language, this is how they communicate with each other in the herd. This natural behaviour can help us to identify what we unconsciously hold in our bodies when working with specific clients, giving us a new perspective into our client work.
So much of what we do as therapists goes beyond words. Supervision with the aid of horses is completely experiential in nature, it takes away the need to find a language to convey our work to another as we would in traditional Supervision. Without the need to find a language for our work, you are left with the essence of the relationship with our clients, which the horses feed back to us in a way we can instantly recognise as part of the client’s story.
Sessions last for 1.5 hours in a group not exceeding 4 people at a cost of £75pp. This is an ongoing monthly Supervision group.
I am now taking bookings for the September 13th Start. Please get in touch on the contact page or txt me on: 07870370689 to book your spot.
No experience with horses is required. All the horses are kept naturally in their herd and aid us regularly in our therapeutic work with clients.
